This policy outlines how BIEDX handles your information and the terms you agree to by using our services, participating in events, or registering on our platform.
We collect personal information directly from you or from third parties as allowed by law. This includes:
- Contact information (name, email, phone, address)
- Demographic, educational, and professional data
- Login credentials and communication preferences
- Payment and billing details
- Feedback, content submissions, and interaction logs
- Images and video/audio recordings (e.g. event media or security footage)
- Technical data (IP address, usage patterns, cookies, device details)
We may also gather anonymized or aggregated data for statistical or product improvement purposes. In some cases, this data may be shared with partners or your organization (e.g., event participation stats) — but without revealing personally identifiable information, unless required in the case of misconduct.
If we need sensitive personal information (e.g. health, disability, religious beliefs), we will request explicit consent unless legally exempted (e.g., emergencies).
We are not responsible for data collected by third parties at events (e.g., scanning badges, collecting business cards, third-party apps). Please refer to their respective privacy policies.
By interacting with our services, you agree to allow us to use your data for providing services, processing payments, communication, analytics, and improving user experience. Marketing or third-party communications will only be sent if you opt in, and you may opt out anytime.
We reserve the right to update this policy. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services indicates your acceptance of any updates.
Participation in BIEDX services is open to individuals 21 years or older. Payment for registrations must be completed through authorized methods (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, or Bank Transfer). Full payment is required for access.
If you cancel your participation by email before 31 August 2025, you may receive a 50% refund. No refunds are provided after this date, including for no-shows or travel issues. Refunds will be processed within 30 business days of the event conclusion. Attendees are responsible for cancelling hotel and travel bookings independently.
Registration transfers are considered on a case-by-case basis. Email contact@biedx.com for requests. Event format and schedule are subject to change or cancellation at our discretion.
By registering or participating, you consent to receive operational communications related to your access, schedules, updates, and optional services. You may receive marketing material only if opted in. To opt out, follow unsubscribe instructions or contact us directly.
Your contact information may be shared with sponsors/exhibitors for certain sessions only if required or if you attend their activities. You may opt out, but doing so may limit access to certain areas or events.
Speakers at our events represent their own views. BIEDX is not responsible for speaker opinions or third-party materials.
For safety, we encourage wearing a mask if unwell. By participating, you agree that we may capture and use photographs, audio, and video recordings for promotional or archival use. Unauthorized recording by attendees is prohibited and may result in ejection from the event. All rights to captured content are owned by BIEDX.
Soliciting is only allowed by authorized exhibitors within their booths. All attendees are expected to behave respectfully and professionally. Weapons are not allowed. Sharing credentials or badges is not permitted and will result in removal without refund.
BIEDX assumes no liability for injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from participation in its services or events. You agree that your sole remedy is a refund of any fees paid. Governing law is that of Singapore.
Violation of this policy may result in denial of access, cancellation of registration, or future bans without refund. BIEDX reserves the right to revise these terms at any time without notice.
By using our services or participating in any BIEDX program, you acknowledge and agree to the terms in this Global Policy.
