BIEDX GRAND 2025 Hands-On Breast Intervention Workshop

Course Description:

The BIEDX Hands-On Breast Intervention Workshop (HBIW) is an intensive, practice-driven program designed to strengthen the clinical and technical capabilities of radiologists involved in breast imaging and intervention. Conducted over two days, the workshop integrates evidence-based guidelines, expert instruction, and extensive hands-on training, ensuring participants gain both theoretical understanding and procedural confidence.

The course covers a comprehensive spectrum of breast interventional procedures, including the evaluation and management of indeterminate (B3) lesions, ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy, vacuum-assisted biopsy principles, and pre-operative localization techniques such as wire, seed, and marker placements. Participants will work directly with simulation models and phantoms to replicate real clinical scenarios, enhancing their accuracy, technique, and workflow efficiency.

In addition to procedural skills, the workshop emphasizes decision-making, complication management, quality assurance, and documentation standards aligned with international recommendations. Interactive case-based discussions and faculty feedback further support participants in applying concepts to real-world practice.

By the end of the program, attendees will gain a strong foundation in breast intervention, improved technical proficiency, and the confidence to perform procedures safely and effectively in their clinical settings.
