Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT), or 3D mammography, has transformed breast imaging by enhancing lesion visibility and reducing overlapping tissue artifacts. This mini fellowship is tailored to empower radiologists with the skills and confidence needed to interpret DBT studies efficiently and accurately.
Led by experienced breast imaging faculty, the program provides a comprehensive overview of:
DBT acquisition principles and comparison with 2D mammography.
Interpretation techniques for mass, calcification, and architectural distortion detection.
Workflow optimization and integration of DBT in screening and diagnostic settings.
Hands-on reading sessions with real-world anonymized DBT cases.
Understanding AI-assisted DBT tools and their clinical applications.
Participants will also explore practical tips and pitfalls, case-based discussions, and reporting strategies aligned with current BI-RADS standards.
This mini fellowship bridges the gap between theory and clinical application — ensuring radiologists gain both confidence and competence in performing and reporting DBT.
